The
Crosslé 16F

Crosslé's
first, and highly successful Formula Ford which started its production
run in 1969. This was the beginning of volume production for Crosslé
and 40 examples (13 of which went to America) were built in 1969 and 1970.
Gerry Birrell won the European Formula Ford Championship in 1969 in a
16F using Avon crossply tyres. In 1970 Brian Nelson campaigned his 16F
in the early European races. Other famous names to use these cars included:-
Tony Dron; Damien Magee; Nelson Todd; and Derek Boyd.
